Meet Kelly, Dog Trainer in Essex.

Essex Girl. dog trainer. Essex

I began my career as a qualified secondary school teacher, developing a strong understanding of how the brain works, teaching styles, behaviour management, and cognitive processing — skills that now transfer seamlessly into my work with dogs.

After raising my children and stepping away from education, I followed my passion into dog training. I believe education is lifelong; while I regularly undertake further courses, I value hands-on experience above all. I have trained with award-winning professionals and continue to develop my skills with trusted trainers in Essex and Wales.

I share my life with Lucky and Charm — my Labradors, affectionately known as “Chalk and Cheese” due to their very different temperaments and learning styles. Charm competes in gundog and scurry dog sports, building obedience, retrieval skills, control, scent work and tracking. Lucky, the larger Labrador is a reforming reactive dog and enjoys trick training, walks and mud.

My goal for my dogs is simple: happy, well-mannered dogs who are fulfilled through training and fully integrated into family life.
